I bought set for 4 of dinner plates, lunch plates, bowls and a couple mugs. It was our Christmas present to ourselves. We love them - they are pretty, a manageable weight (sturdy but not to heavy) and clean well. Love the green/black pattern.

Plates were packed very well when received. They stack nicely. So far they do not scratch & we have not chipped them. They appear to be durable, functional & very nice looking. We are very pleased that they are made here in the USA!

Just got the blue agate 10.5in dinner plates in and my wife loves them. I am thoroughly impressed with the packing. Could have dropped the box out of the truck on the highway and probably not broken a plate. Will be buying more in the future

I had previously purchased some of your Classic Dinner Plates and love them.What I like about them is that they are flat with a nice raised lip at the outer edge. Almost any other plates you buy from other manufacturers have the entire plate sloping towards the middle and then any liquids that your foods may have with them all run to the middle making a gooey mess in the middle of the plate.I hate that! Your plates do not do that.
Also these plates are very strong because I have accidentally banged the edges of the plates many times against hard surfaces such as other plates when taking them out of the dishwasher and not a single one of my older plates have chipped at all.These plates are worth what I paid for them.

Bennington Blue Agate dinnerware

I have owned a large set of Blue Agate dinnerware for over 30 years. We use, and enjoy it daily. Recently I have been replacing some pieces that have been chipped or broken. I am completely in love with my Bennington. It goes beautifully with my primitive country style. If space would allow, I would own the Tavern pattern also.

bought in white on white to see if i want this color for my dinner plates. i really like it but might go with a color. plate is very sturdy and nice to eat off of. it does have a slight issue of fitting in my Miele DW, the lip is a little wider than the dish slot, if i push it in, its ok, but it is something for me to consider.

Well, while I was shopping for a mixing bowl, I saw these dinner plates. A couple of the ones I had in my cupboard recently broke, so I decided to order 4 plates. I love splatter ware and the deep blue. The rims of the plates come up so food and liquids stay on the plate. They are working well!

We had previously given family members a set of Black On Slate for serving dessert dessert and tea or coffee. They really like their durability as will as their unusual pattern and texture. The fact that they are produced by American artisans is another plus. When we asked them if they would like any Bennington Potters products this year, dinner plates in Black On Slate was the response. When they arrived, we received their note saying how thrilled they were to received them.

We LOVE these plates! We received a set for Christmas last year, and they are perfect. My boyfriend and I are always trying to buy local in Vermont, and the Bennington Potters products are some of our favorites. My boyfriends parents also ordered a set after seeing how much we love them. We got the white glaze with one "accent" plate in the Elements Blue for fun. Can't say enough good things!

I needed to order Tavernware dinner plates for Thanksgiving -- Unfortunately they were unavailable but a very helpful woman I spoke with recommended the green plates to compliment my tavernware -- I ordered six of them and they complimented my tavernware beautifully! I love my bennington pottery -- I have a lot of it -- Thanks to whoever it was that I spoke with -- I got a lot of compliments at dinner!

I love these plates! I remember a chef saying everything looks great on a blue plate. He's right! I also purchased the salad size. Very happy with them. I put them in the dishwasher, and they are fine. Also like that they are made in the USA and do not contain lead! Feel better about that.

We bought two of these black plates when we were first dating 34 years ago. Have always loved them and was thrilled to see that Bennington still makes them. We ordered 4 more. Our 34 year old plates are none the worse for wear, and somehow the speckled black pottery makes such a pretty background for the food that is served on them. Very happy!

while I was ordering I thought another oval plate would be nice. That is a good plate for a lunch or snack sandwich. The color of the classic pottery is beautiful, the size of the dinner plate is perfect, when we entertain we always get compliments on the table service along with the food.

I was looking for some dinner plates with a "rim" or higher sides to use when we have something with gravy or a sauce so the sauce/gravy stays on the plate and doesn't travel onto the tablecloth. I bought 2 of the classic plates in Tavernware and they are perfect! I plan to get a couple more soon!

My husband and I have purchased Bennington Pottery for over 25 years. Our purchases were odds and ends pieces. More recently we have been slowly building our collection of dinner plates for everyday use. These are heavy well made plates, pricey yes, but we plan on having them until we kick the bucket. Tavernware looks great with any table setting, although we do mix and match with some other glazes. Love you BP.

After 18 years of everyday use one of the plates broke. I have a full set of Tavernware, so i replaced the broken one and added 2 additional. 10 gets my husband and I through 5 nights of dinner. These plates are expensive at $32/plate, but they wear like iron and I intend to use them for at least another 18 years.

Love the shape of the sloped sides on this piece. More plate and less trim so to speak. Our current plates have large lips and less plate. I think I would like these a bit more if they were just a bit bigger. Maybe 1" - 1.5". If they added 1.5" they would just fit my cabinets, so these are not small by any means. The wife thinks these are the perfect size.

My main reason for purchasing these plates was they were recommended as the safest, metal free option available. I did not expect them to be as pretty as they are. I love the white glaze and I think I'm going to add the yellow to our collection next. Also love how well they fare in the dishwasher. The lip on the plates is also just perfect. Can't wait to replace everything in the cupboards with your products!

Because we already own many pieces from the pottery, we were sure we would love the plates and we do. What impressed us was the prompt customer service. Two plates were broken in shipping and all it took from us was a couple of emails and those plates were replaced.

We had a set of the black plates for our wedding back in the 90's. After a long time, we decided to give them away and get updated plates. My husband kept one black plate. Years later, I realized he still only uses his one black plate. My son started using it, too. I finally decided we needed our plates back! To switch it up, I bought the white ones. They love the rim. I love the smaller plate size. We're back!

25 years ago, we got the white on white classic plates, bowls and other items as our wedding 'china' (not that into fancy china). We loved them then and they have stood the test of time! We used to only use them as our good dishes, but the're just so great and now that my kids are almost adults and can be trusted we use them all the time! I recently purchased a few more to replace a couple that were broken over the years. We still love them and they are still as stylish and beautiful as they were 25 years ago. I can't tell the difference between the new ones and the 25 year old plates. Thank you!

Other than the superb craftmanship of these plates, they are classic, unique, and attractive. They mesh with a variety of decoration styles both rustic and traditional. I couldn't recommend these plates enough as a staple for your kitchen.
