I love my pottery. I have the green/black and I'm pretty sure I have the whole set. My daughter lives in Bennington VT and we would visit the store every time we were there. I keep asking if there would ever be a canister set in that color. I would pay in advance to have one made That would complete my set.
Will you ever be able to go in the store again ? I hope so.

Alternative Use - Spoon Rest

We use ours as a spoon rest for when we have the whole stove top going. Help contains the messes and easy cleanup.
My family had one for close to 20 years before we lost it to an accident in the sink. Here to buy another one and continue the memories.

I use this bistro plate for a baked Brie appetizer. As a single serving it is perfect for a baked chicken breast or pork chop. It is so easy to clean. Just never put it in cold water until it cools completely.

Disappointed in glaze

I wish I could attach photos of the plate to this review. There is an uneven application of glaze resulting in the rim of the plate being extremely faded. It seems like a flaw as the glaze appears even and not faded in the photos. Decided to keep the plate as it's handy for sticking something small in the oven, but I'm pretty disappointed in the quality and won't order anything else.

The handle on the plate makes it easy to hold and sit back and couch couch or in a casual chair to eat on those lazy nights. It also works well for a small vegetable platter. Most often it's used for a sandwich.

Their unique shape and convenient handle make them easy to use and quite versatile.We recently purchased some new plates to replace those inevitably lost through the years and were delighted to find the glaze on the new plates perfectly matched the old ones. The Bistro plate is the perfect size for a snack, lunch, or to use as a small dinner plate. Bennington Pottery is beautifully handcrafted. It's made in the USA and I have only recently found the company by receiving some as a gift. I sure am glad I did!

Bennington Potters has been around for 72 years and I've been a customer for 35 years! Got my first bistro plate in 1985.
Despite moving to the western part of country, I still only purchase the best pottery around. Always stop in when I go back home to Maine. .Love, love their craftsmanship and quality.

I have owned a set of these for years and always used them for open faced sandwiches with a cheese sauce. Recently my daughter made them but didn't have these to put them in. She mentioned it before Christmas, so I thought great gift! She was so surprised and happy when she opened hers. They ate so pretty and useful, we both love them.

Spritz it with cooking spray, cut a few veggies into it, tomatoes, spinach, etc., sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic, crack an egg or two over the top and pop it into the oven or microwave until fluffy. So easy! These plates catch drips and are great for everything from eggs to pasta or pie a la mode. It's a bowl and a plate and baking dish for mini casseroles! I can't stop finding uses for it!
