"I use your pottery every day and have done so for 20+ years. As a part-time artist in several forms (painting, glassware, jewelry) the Bennington is ALWAYS my first choice for personal cooking... Thanks so much for the quality you have produced over the years." Christina G., Moore, SC |

5 GREAT REASONS TO VISIT POTTERS YARD!
OUR PEOPLE
These are the people who make and sell all of our pottery at Potters Yard. They would love for two things to happen. They would love to show off their work and how it is done, and they would love to thank everyone personally for supporting an American Craft Pottery and its' potters. Come visit and give them this opportunity.

OUR POTTERY
Functional, durable and beautiful, our pottery has been handmade in Vermont since 1948! Quality counts to us. No two pieces are exactly alike. Our designs and formulas are unique. We are design driven and quality obsessed, and we are not satisfied until you are satisfied!

OUR SHOPPING
The shopping experience here is unlike any other you have had. Of course there's plenty of our handmade stoneware, but we also have beautiful decorative accessories and home decor pieces as well as hundreds of gift items to capture your fancy. Vermont specialty foods complement our pottery as well - all shown off in our historic setting!

OUR BUILDINGS
These rustic 1900's buildings once housed a grist mill and a schoolhouse (shown here). The mill, formerly owned by Henry N. Meyers, off-loaded coal, supplied firewood, ice, lumber and farm equipment to local homes and businesses. The schoolhouse, our store entrance, was just that, a one room schoolhouse!

OUR TOWN
A beautiful community of about 18,000 people, we are nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Bennington is a great place to visit and an even greater place to live! We love it here. Come explore our historic downtown and many area attractions. You'll find it well worth the trip!
The Old First Church pictured here is in Old Bennington and was founded in 1762. It was the first Protestant church in Vermont.
