We love our Bennington Potters pottery. We lived in Vermont for many years and registered for Bennington Potters when we were married. It is now an elegant reminder of our time in Vermont in our home in Seattle. We have collected many pieces of slate on gray over the years. Our only disappointment is the limited number of items offered in our glaze. We wish there was a wider offering.

I have one of the Tankard mugs that I have been using for about 10 years and it has a wonderful "feel" to it. I have also given a set of 6 ,and another set of 4 to friends who also appreciate the benefits of a thick mug and a warm drink.

Nice and stable, very attractive. This purchase was actually a precautionary one as the original I bought a decade or two ago has a fine crack running halfway down the outside. Crack hasn't reached the inside, so may be just the glazing, but having to revert to using an *ordinary* mug for my coffee & tea was just too horrid to consider. Plus, the size of this matches the single-serving French Press I have.
One complaint: these mugs do NOT show in this color in the regular web page, and I only knew to search for them at all because the print catalog showed them. Search for these by glaze if you want to buy online.
FYI I bought the original in a coffee shop in Philadelphia, near the river, and was able to find you all these years later because you put your full name on the bottom. Thanks for that!

Bought four of these in the white-on-white glaze many, many years ago. I still love using them. They have been used on a daily basis for tea, and have gone through the dishwasher hundreds of times. Still perfect. They do get stained from the tea but a little bleach and water brings them back to white, as new.
