I debated for nearly a year before purchasing two of the large basic bowls in blue. I'm so glad I finally did. They are lovely pieces and totally functional for my purposes. I've used them for soup - they hold a whole can comfortably, and for oatmeal, they are perfect leaving room for the oats and toppings. They are easy to clean and attractive to look at. I'll be buying more as I grow my collection of Bennington pottery.

This bowl is the perfect size for my vegan dinners (brown rice, pasta, millet, quinoa, vegetables, everything); it is beautiful and so well made. I love that it is hand made because it is not exactly round (unlike machine made bowls). It has a natural, lovely curve, The color is soft and beautiful. I love the feel of it in my hands, it's perfect weight and shape. It is soothing.

I have collected blue agate for more than 30 years with 20 pace settings and many,many extras. These bowls will add to my son's collection. I have given all 5 of my children and 3 grandchildren full sets of Bennington Pottery.

The Blue Agate is simply beautiful pottery. Couldn't be happier with the colors we got. We bought a bowl in each size (except quart size) and I should have got the quart bowl and dropped the small version. Bowls are a bit small for me, but I am larger than average.
