This is the mug the family rushes to get in the morning. After our six month old violently (that's an understatement) threw our first one against the wall we quickly realized it was a necessity to replace. We are working on getting the full collection of the blue agate and we're pleased with every piece. If we can, we'll catch the imperfect sale as the quality of the product is just the same, and each piece more unique.

I am very pleased with the American Classic mug in Elements Blue, which is excellent for coffee, and the mug in Blue Agate , which is great for drinking any black tea as the glaze does not retain any stains from the tea after the mug is washed. Both mugs hold a good amount of coffee or tea to

I noticed quite a bit of difference in this classic mug compared to the others I have. It is quit a bit thinner. I prefer the heavier ones. I feel like the quality is better.

I'd broken a favorite large morning coffee mug, and had been searching on Etsy for large, but lighter-weight mugs for my morning coffee, and bought two that arrived looking quite different than what the photos looked like. Frustrated, for sure. But then--gazing at my beautiful new-ish dinner plates and soup bowls in the cabinet, I thought, "Oh! Bennington Potters!" They have mugs, and I can depend on it looking like the picture and being sturdy and beautiful!" Done, and done. My beautiful mug graces my morning coffee, and then my water requirements all day long!

I ordered 3 Blue agate glazed mugs for myself and both my son and daughter. We had visited Bennington, Vermont and enjoyed so much that I wanted a small remembrance for each of us.
The mugs are beautiful! They are a study peice, but not clunky, or overly heavy or too large. We're all very happy with them!
Also the shipping was very quick and they arrived in plenty of time for Christmas!

I have had my Bennington Potters blue agate set for years. I use my trigger mugs frequently and they are the best coffees cup I've ever used. They are so easy to hold and they look great. My only complaint is that your Burlington store is not open anymore. I used to love to shop there.

I had originally purchased one of these mugs about 3 years ago as a Christmas present for my father-in-law. He was absolutely in love with it, and used it every day at the office. Unfortunately, one day I dropped it on the floor and only the handle snapped off. I felt so bad about making his favorite mug unusable. I purchased another one for him in January, and within 3 days of placing the order, the mug arrived. He was SO happy to have his mug back! It keeps his coffee warmer for longer than any other mugs he has ever had. Thank you so much to Bennington Pottery for making such a beautiful and quality product!

I'm disappointed to say that I'm not thrilled with the two classic mugs I ordered. They feel clunky in the hand and are best suited for soups or ice cream. When used for a large cup of tea or coffee, they are heavy to hold and cool the liquid unless they are preheated. They are attractive and well made, but I just don't enjoy using them.

My wife got me this mug in blue agate as a Christmas gift a few years ago, along with some American made coffee. It is beautiful, has held up well and makes a nice big cup of coffee! It may be because it's made in America, or because my wife got it for me, but this cup is special to me and I would swear coffee tastes better out of it than any other mug I own.
