"It doesn't surprise me that
seconds are not readily available for purchase for those outside of
Bennington. I am sure that my husband and I will eventually purchase your
12 piece dinnerware set. We just have to make enough room in our
cupboards first and get rid of our current set of dinnerware. Thanks for
the info on the annual July sale, it would make a fun trip. Again, thank you
for making such a quality product , it is a rarity these days! " Melinda B, OH |

Marky Maypo's Cereal Bowl
Do you remember Marky Maypo? He was the TV character who sold us on eating the hot cereal Maypo! Oh come on – you ate it too! It was all because we wanted that free cereal bowl he used! Of course it was partly because it came with him holding it. Well I sent for mine and never got it and have been searching for the perfect cereal bowl ever since. I wanted something made in Vermont and had heard of a place that made a handmade clay pottery bowl set – I thought it was called Bennington Pottery and headed out to find it. My search took me to a wonderful pottery located in Bennington, Vermont called Bennington Potters. I got to see pottery making on a factory tour and learned how they applied a pottery glaze. After spending an interesting and educational tour I found the perfectly sized cereal bowl that would have made Marky Maypo say "Who wants some Maypo?". Search over!
