"Over the last five years I have purchased many different items from Bennington Pottery, in a variety of glazes, for myself and for my daughters. I have established a tradition in our family to buy a set of bakeware for my daughters as they have entered into marriage, and now my soon to be daughter-in-law is just as excited to pick her favorite glaze. Thanks so much for continuing to offer beautiful, durable pottery made in the U.S.A., and backing it up with excellent customer service." MaLisa T., Steelville, MO |

Marky Maypo's Cereal Bowl
Do you remember Marky Maypo? He was the TV character who sold us on eating the hot cereal Maypo! Oh come on – you ate it too! It was all because we wanted that free cereal bowl he used! Of course it was partly because it came with him holding it. Well I sent for mine and never got it and have been searching for the perfect cereal bowl ever since. I wanted something made in Vermont and had heard of a place that made a handmade clay pottery bowl set – I thought it was called Bennington Pottery and headed out to find it. My search took me to a wonderful pottery located in Bennington, Vermont called Bennington Potters. I got to see pottery making on a factory tour and learned how they applied a pottery glaze. After spending an interesting and educational tour I found the perfectly sized cereal bowl that would have made Marky Maypo say "Who wants some Maypo?". Search over!
